How to reach us

Getting here by train and bus

St. Ulrich / Ortisei has no railway station of its own, but is very well connected to the public transport network. The most convenient railway stations for reaching Val Gardena are Bolzano, Bressanone/Brixen, Chiusa/Klausen and Ponte Gardena/Waidbruck. From there you can reach Val Gardena comfortably by regional bus, taxi, or transfer service.

Getting here by car

The easiest way to arrive is via the Brenner motorway A22. Coming from the south, drive via Verona, Trento and Bolzano to the Chiusa / Val Gardena exit. Coming from the north, drive via Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass, also to Chiusa. From the Chiusa / Val Gardena exit, St. Ulrich is about 20 minutes away. Alternatively, you can take the Bolzano Nord exit and continue via Ponte Gardena into Val Gardena.

The closest airport, served by Sky Alps with direct connections from Germany, Austria and other European cities.

Verona Airport (VRN) and Venice Airport (VCE)
Larger international airports with a wide route network, including Ryanair and easyJet. From there, we recommend renting a car or booking a transfer service to St. Ulrich.

Once you're here, you won't need your car anymore

Once you've arrived with us, you can simply leave your car parked. Our central location in St. Ulrich means the lifts, shops, restaurants and bus stops are literally on your doorstep — all comfortably within walking distance. During your stay, too, Val Gardena's excellent public transport makes it easy to get anywhere without a car of your own.
